7 Days Northern Tanzania & Serengeti Fly-Out Safari

After breakfast, depart from Arusha for Arusha National Park, one of Tanzania’s most scenic but underrated parks. Despite its smaller size, the park offers a remarkable variety of landscapes, from lush montane forest to open grasslands, crater lakes, and views of Mount Meru.

Enjoy a full-day game drive where you may see giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, warthogs, waterbucks, flamingos, and black-and-white colobus monkeys. Unlike many other northern parks, Arusha National Park also offers excellent birdlife and beautiful scenery throughout the day.

A picnic lunch will be served inside the park before returning to your lodge in Arusha for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park, famous for giant baobab trees and some of the largest elephant concentrations in northern Tanzania.

Spend the day exploring the park’s varied landscapes along the Tarangire River, where wildlife gathers throughout the year. During your game drive, you may encounter elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, impalas, ostriches, and predators such as lions and leopards.

After a picnic lunch and afternoon game viewing, continue to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

After an early breakfast, drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater.

The crater floor offers one of Africa’s highest concentrations of wildlife. During your game drive, you may see lions, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, hyenas, and, with luck, the endangered black rhino. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed near the hippo pool before continuing your afternoon game drive.

Later, ascend the crater and continue toward the Serengeti National Park area for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, continue into the world-famous Serengeti National Park. As you enter the park, enjoy a game drive en route to camp.

The Serengeti’s endless plains offer classic safari scenery and excellent wildlife viewing. You may spot lions, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, wildebeest, zebras, and hyenas. Depending on the season, you may also begin to encounter part of the Great Migration.

Dinner and overnight at your lodge or tented camp inside the park.

Today is dedicated to a full day of game drives in Serengeti National Park.

Set out early when wildlife is most active. Your guide will follow wildlife movements and recent sightings to maximize your safari experience. The day offers excellent opportunities to see predators, large herbivore herds, and the rich diversity of the Serengeti ecosystem.

Enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush before continuing your afternoon game drive. Return to camp in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Spend another full day exploring different regions of Serengeti National Park. Having multiple days here gives you more flexibility to reach wildlife-rich areas depending on seasonal movement and animal activity.

You may encounter lions on the kopjes, cheetahs on the open plains, elephants moving through woodland areas, and countless zebras and wildebeest grazing across the savannah.

Return to your lodge or camp for dinner and your final overnight in the Serengeti.

After breakfast, transfer to the local airstrip in Serengeti National Park for your scheduled scenic bush flight to Zanzibar.

As you fly over the vast plains of the Serengeti and across mainland Tanzania, you’ll enjoy a spectacular aerial view of the landscapes you have explored over the past week. On arrival in Zanzibar, you will continue to your beach resort or onward arrangements, marking the end of your safari with Bavon Tours and Safaris.
